The Lutetia on its way to Easter

The Parisian palace unveils the creation of its pastry chef Nicolas Guercio for Easter. A tribute to the automobile…

From its Sèvre-Raspail crossroads, opposite the Bon Marché, the Lutetia hotel has seen many cars come and go! At any time of the day or night, in the heart of the very chic Parisian district of Saint-Germain-des-Près, the most beautiful automobiles have always circulated there. In its 111 years of existence, the Parisian palace is the privileged witness of this.

The establishment’s pastry chef decided to take his inspiration from the wild rides of Saint-Germain-des-Près and their most beautiful cars of the time to design two very special Easter eggs.

Lhe first is the Oeuf Collection, imagined as a beautiful racing car in the manner of a child’s toy. Nicolas Guercio evokes the magical moment of childhood with its egg hunts and treats. On the side, the “45” recalls the street number of the Lutetia. The black Manjari is dominant.

The second is the Classic Egg. In keeping with his theme, the pastry chef turned this time to the driver behind the wheel of the little racing car: vintage helmet, glasses and retro moustaches plunge the gourmand into the Parisian roaring twenties. Under the black manjari, a hazelnut almond praline filling, fleur de sel and whole hazelnuts.
