The Manufacture is exploring a new spectrum of colors by treating its automatic chronograph caliber in the majestic tones of purple.

In the small world of watchmaking, purple remains rare. Zenith, in its legendary boldness, has decided to treat its El Primero 21 automatic chronograph movement with a hundredth of a second and beating at 50 Hz, in these opulent and majestic tones. Thus was born the Defy 21. Visible through the open dial and embellished with three grey chronograph counters, this caliber has an avant-garde design with openworked and angular bridges. Allowing the movement’s purple-treated bridges to stand out while providing a more striking contrast, the watch’s 44mm faceted case is fully sandblasted, bringing out the darker metallic hues of the titanium. Complementing the tones of the openwork movement, which can change from warm to cool purple, the black rubber strap features a purple insert that mimics the look of woven textile. The Defy 21 Ultraviolet offers a power reserve of 50 hours.
