The young perfumery workshop, which wishes to revive the charm of traditional Cologne, offers four creations designed as a tribute to the poetic and musical sensibility of the Baroque composer François Couperin.
For several years now, the Arthur Dupuy workshop, with its in-house laboratory and driven by a concern for French manufacturing, has sought to revive the charm of traditional, fresh and invigorating cologne. The young workshop, created in 2015 and based in Montpellier, now offers four original creations conceived as a tribute to the Baroque composer François Couperin: through their name, these Cologne evoke the poetic as well as the musical sensibility of the 17th century French musician.
Les Barricades Mystérieuses is a chypre fragrance, combining bergamot and rose with patchouli and offering intense woody notes. This eau de Cologne reveals a certain complexity with a charismatic accord of melancholic vivacity that is a tribute to the musician’s creation. Les Langueurs-Tendres reveals a surprising sweetness of white flowers with intoxicating fragrances, just like the crystalline and airy notes of the musical piece. Jasmine and lily of the valley follow one another to weave a fragrant lace vibrating around a light woody trail. The Carillon de Cithère intends to bewitch with its joyful notes, like the musical trills evoking the feeling of love in the baroque composition. Vetiver embraces the freshness of the leaves of the bigaradier, sandalwood and musk also entering in this hypnotic dance. Finally, Les Idées Heureuses shows beautiful sunny notes of lemon, orange and bergamot, enriched with a light woody note.
