Two summer cuvées in Hautes-Côtes de Nuits claim “organic wine” certification.
The commitment of the Beaune house in favor of viticulture is not new: twenty years ago, Albert Bichot is committed to implementing it for the vineyards of its estates in Côte d’Or and Côte Chalonnaise. But this commitment is also reflected in his activity through the purchase of organic grapes, used for the elaboration of his other wines.
For the summer, Albert Bichot unveils two beautiful cuvées of Hautes-Côtes de Nuits On the pinot noir side, a fruity and fresh 2017 vintage, made from grapes from clay-limestone soils and vinified in wooden and stainless steel vats. Served slightly chilled now, it is suitable for summer tables. On the Chardonnay side, a 2018 vintage with a floral nose and remarkable freshness in the mouth. This wine is marked by a beautiful minerality associated with notes of summer fruits – sweet plums – which are suitable for shellfish and sheep cheese.
