The ancient imperial city of Japan, Kyoto, considered one of the most pleasant cities in the world, wishes to rediscover the charms of its lifestyle, beyond its green forests and bamboo groves.

Kyoto has cherished and nurtured this aesthetic simplicity with a touch of elegance, serenity and purity for centuries. In a new video proposed by the Kyoto city tourism association, the city wishes to show that this so particular atmosphere, typically Japanese, is within the reach of all, inhabitants as well as travelers, but also that its practices are real and anchored in the Kyoto way of life. Omotenashi, the art of receiving and welcoming that the Japanese master to perfection, takes on its full meaning in Kyoto. When the time comes to travel again, Kyoto promises to do its utmost to leave its visitors with an unforgettable memory and a true experience of “real” Japan.
