The Cave de Roquebrun, which brings together some forty winemakers totaling nearly 650 hectares in the Haut Languedoc regional park, unveils its 2016 Pépites de Schistes vintage. Made exclusively from old vines, this exceptional Syrah-dominated wine has been quietly aged for 24 months in oak barrels to develop its aromas. Powerful, balanced, this Saint-Chinian Roquebrun has a brilliant purple color. It is complex, silky, spicy and slightly smoky. If it can already be served after decanting, this great wine still has great ageing potential.
The Cave de Roquebrun, created in 1967, benefits from a temperate climate and a southern exposure for all its vineyards. Based on demanding specifications, it produces high quality wines in AOC Saint-Chinian and, for the last fifteen years, in AOC Saint-Chinian Roquebrun.
