Domaine de Trévallon, 2017 (red, Provence)

In barely half a century, the Domaine de Trévallon, nestled a few steps from Saint-Remy-de-Provence on the northern slopes of the Alplilles, has established itself as one of the most beautiful vineyards in Provence. Eloi Dürrbach, its founder, watches over the 17 hectares of vines with his daughter Ostiane, giving birth each year to wines that are acclaimed throughout the world. In this environment where limestone is omnipresent and shapes a harsh and dry land, the Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah are combined in a way that expresses the style of the house.

Domaine de Trévallon unveils its elegant 2017 vintage today. As always for the reds of the house, two years of breeding were imposed. The long time, here, is the key to quality. Although young, it already offers a beautiful ruby color with dark reflections, and a powerful nose expressing red fruits and spices. In the mouth, a pleasant freshness is revealed. It can be served now, slightly chilled, ideally with a few more years of rest.
