IHG’s boutique hotel brand, Kimpton, will open its first French address in Paris in spring 2021, in the heart of the Opera district.
Kimpton continues its expansion and is about to open its first French address. In the spring of 2021, the IHG group’s boutique hotel chain will open the Kimpton Saint-Honoré, located on Avenue des Capucines, a stone’s throw from the Opéra, Place Vendôme and Rue Saint-Honoré.
Under the Art Nouveau facades of the former Samaritaine de Luxe, dating from 1917, the establishment has chosen to preserve some of the department store’s period features such as its grand staircase. Under the artistic direction of French interior designer Charles Zana, the renovation resulted in 149 rooms and suites, as well as the creation of a spa, a gym, and an indoor pool. Inside, the spaces display an Art Deco inspiration. Each room has the feel of a chic, modern Parisian apartment with a balcony, studio windows and artwork.
Thanks to its culinary experiences and its cocktail bar, the Kimpton aims to become an essential part of the Parisian scene. On the first floor, a California-inspired restaurant designed by Humbert & Poyet will combine healthy, iodized recipes with abundant American bounty. On the 10th floor, a roof top will welcome guests and offer them original cocktails and appetizers in a setting offering an exceptional 360 degree view of the Capital.
