The hotels reopen their doors for our greatest happiness. Some of them have recently undergone a facelift, providing their guests with even more refinement and magic: refined decoration, clean lines, magic of design. Others offer intimate concepts where life is good. Here is a selection of rooms to dream, breathe and escape according to your wishes.

By Sophie Lamigeon

Need to open your bedroom window to a breathtaking view or the privacy of a garden? You don’t have to go to the end of the world to find the resort of your dreams. The unprecedented situation we are currently experiencing forces us to rethink the way we travel and consider vacations. According to a survey conducted by the Millésime hotel group among its clients, 75% plan to give priority to France, its gastronomy, its terroir and its unique landscapes, ahead of Europe (16%) and international destinations (9%). As for hotels, the notion of service is evolving: hoteliers must ensure a new way of receiving guests by reorganizing spaces to respect sanitary constraints. More than ever, they know how to provide their guests with exceptional moments in rare, even mythical places that tell a story. Enjoy the art of living at the hotel.

the villa calvi.

Heading to Corsica, where La Villa Calvi has imagined receiving families or friends as if at home with an à la carte hotel service. Spacious and bright, within a park with the scent of the maquis, the three private houses of the domain invite you to a stay under the sign of beauty and design. Terracotta, parquet, antique furniture and beautiful objects… The owners called upon the designers Philippe Hurel for the furniture, Julie Prisca for the lights, Pierre Frey and Jim Thomson for the fabrics. The terraces and pools offer a spectacular view of the Balagne and the bay of Calvi.

For fans of the Riviera, the mythical Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo recently renovated, offers rooms and suites with noble materials and clean lines. A sun-drenched jewel delicately placed on the roof of the hotel, the elegant Prince Rainier III Suite pays tribute to the “Prince Builder” of Monaco. With its contrasting gold and bright colors, decorated with sculptures and paintings from the Prince’s personal collection, this 830 square meter suite has two bedrooms, a living room with a bar area, a dining room, and a lounge-library. Designed on two levels, it offers a terrace open to the Mediterranean and a private infinity pool. The French Riviera Touch!

Head for the Atlantic where the establishment Les Hortensias du Lac opens its 25 rooms with balcony and suites with terraces on the western shore of the marine lake. In the shade of the pines, only 200 m from the immense ocean beaches, the place happily mixes an Art Deco Landes heritage with the surfing culture in the spirit of the Hamptons in the USA. Blond wood floors and white walls letting in that special light, sandy ceramics, soft and warm colors give the rooms a refined, zen and chic style.

l’auberge du père bise.

For those who prefer the mountains in summer, the Auberge du Père Bise, in Haute-Savoie, has its feet in the water but its head in the mountains. The bright rooms and suites breathe calm and serenity. They have been imagined in soft and mineral colors, those of the clear shores of Lake Annecy blending with the rocky walls. The deep blue Exceptional Suite opens its 80 m² on a large terrace with jacuzzi overlooking the lake.

Staying at the palace At the Hôtel Royal d’Evian, we reconnect with the essential. Facing Lake Geneva and the Alps, where the natural mineral water spring gushes out, this architectural jewel was built in 1909 in honor of King Edward VII of England. The David Leadbetter Suite, named after the famous English golf coach, features blue and yellow tones and 1950s furnishings, as well as equipment provided for the practice of the sport: videos of the coach, golf bags and clubs, a putting green and a library ideal for golf enthusiasts. birdy and eagle. Have a good swing!

A splendid secret hideaway in the Vaucluse, the Crillon Le Brave stands at the top of the eponymous village. It is composed ofa dozen old houses linked together by alleys. In the rooms and suites, the old red tiles of Provence contrast with a decoration at once sober and warm. Wood, linen, warm colors… A soft and relaxing atmosphere wanted by the architect-decorator Charles Zana, who tried to respect the identity of the place. Each room or suite is unique with its antique furniture and selected antiques. A place to feel at home, with a touch of poetry on every floor. From its windows opening onto the Mont Ventoux valley, the Deluxe Ventoux Suite, with its wooden beams and traditional Terracotta tiles, offers an exceptional view of nature.
