BioEffect EGF Essence

BioEffect’s EGF Essence, nicknamed “miracle water”, is a natural alternative to skin care creams.

Dubbed “miracle water” because it is more fluid than a traditional serum, BioEffect’s EGF Essence is different from a traditional essence: light, ultra-fluid, quickly absorbed, it contains only eleven ingredients and is free of alcohol, oil, perfume and paraben. Enriched with the active ingredient EGF, it helps fight against the first signs of skin aging. Used on the clean skin of the face, it can be applied alone – on young or oily skins in particular – or before a serum or a cream of care and largely takes part in the hydration of the skin.

Very popular with Icelandic women, the BioEffect brand was founded by three Icelandic scientists who wanted to develop clean and pure substances for medicine. After a decade of research, in 2011 they discovered a way to make a replica of human EGF, the epidermal growth factor, from barley plants and through bioengineering. All of its products are developed and produced entirely on the island, from barley plants grown in aseptic volcanic ash and watered with spring water.
